One study on SGT-67 used rat and human liver microsomes and hepatocytes to evaluate the metabolism and clearance of the research chemical, which was compared to urine sampling and in vivo rat plasma.

Hypothermia was also investigated; treatment with microsomes revealed rapid metabolic clearance; however, metabolism in vivo took longer, allowing detection in rat plasma. With 28 metabolites identified, the research chemical did exhibit hypothermic effects.
